I was introduced to Tokyo Police Club a few years back by a friend, but never had heard this song. However, I came across it while hanging out at West Coast Camps this summer. It was a song used in my buddy Mikes section in the Hyperlite video Rewritten. The song is sick, but check out Rewritten because the riding makes it that much better.

The man who made volcom what it is in my opinion.... Ozzie Wright is one of the most unique surfers of our time. His aggressive approach to surfing blows my mind. Just when I thought he couldn't surf faster or harder he does. This clip is from the volcom film "156 Tricks," in which he pushes limits.....People try to hate on him, but u cant deny that the guy has mad steeze....

Tall Cans and Low Riders

Tall Cans and Low Riders makes me think of one thing... Wolfkiller. If you have never been to a Wolfkiller show, then you are missing out. I am not a huge fan of hard core music, but Wolfkiller is an exception... The band is from Santa Cruz Ca, and I know them personally, but that is not what makes me dig their music. To tell you the truth, I can't really name exactly what it is. Maybe its the energy that shoots through your bones the second they start playing or maybe its just their rugged and raw style. Whatever it is, the band is creating quite the following which is referred to as "the wolfpack." The band kills it, so check them out on myspace at http://www.myspace.com/wolfkillerz.....(if your a valley this message is not for you...haha)

In 2008 my friends and I had the opportunity to go to Costa Rica on a surf trip. The waves were really small, but the trip was a blast. We mostly surfed Playa Grande, but also got a tour from a new friend we called Smoothie.... long story. Anyway, this is a short video my buddy Doner made of the trip and some Santa Cruz footage. Hope you enjoy it.
